Neurocare Staff Profile - Wendy Watson (Director)

Wendy graduated from Withington Hospital School of Physiotherapy, Manchester in 1992.

Since 1995 she has worked specialising in her skills specifically in Neurological Rehabilitation, treating a wide variety of conditions from the very acute onset to the more chronic stage.  She has worked in a number of specialised neurological settings including a Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, Regional Neurological Unit, Stroke Unit and Regional Neurological Assessment Ward. 

She is very keen on the holistic approach to patient management and values the educative approach of physiotherapy. She enjoys facilitating the patient (and their carers) to assist in the management of his or her own condition.

She has a specific interest in treatment using electrical stimulation to promote muscular activity and is a qualified practitioner in the assessment and use of functional electrical stimulation.

She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Professional Council. 

Wendy established Neurocare Physiotherapy Ltd in 2003  to provide a specialist private neurological physiotherapy service to the Lancashire area and expanded to cover the north west in 2006.
