Neurocare Staff Profile - Sarah Wilkinson

Sarah Wilkinson graduated from Salford University in 2004 with BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy. In September 2004 she was employed by Ashton, Leigh and Wigan PCT where she completed core rotations as a junior physiotherapist.

From these rotations she gained further experience on the acute stroke and stroke rehabilitation units along with working with other neurological conditions including head injuries, spinal injuries, Parkinson's Disease, Multiple sclerosis and Motor neurone disease. She has also been involved in co-running a neurological exercise group in the past.

Sarah is currently working as a senior physiotherapist within neuro and has been working within the community team for the past two years. This team covers the areas of Wigan and Leigh and also involves working closely with other health care professionals including Occupational therapists, Speech and Language therapists and Community Matron as part of an interdisciplinary team setting.

She is a member of the chartered society of physiotherapy and is registered with the Health Professional Council.

She joined Neurocare in July 2008.
