


Joy graduated from The University of Teesside in 1999 with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy.
Since graduation Joy developed an interest in Stroke Rehabilitation and has specialised in Neurological Physiotherapy. Throughout her career Joy has gained extensive experience in the treatment of neurological conditions including stroke, head injury, guillain-barre, MS and parkinson’s disease, working at the regional neurological unit. She has experience in both acute and long term management of neurological conditions both in an in patient setting and in the community. She has completed a range of post graduate courses inc the Bobath course aimed at expanding her knowledge and treatment skills. She also has experience in care of the elderly rehabilitation including the Falls Management Programme.
Joy feels that a holistic approach of all neurological patients is imperative to achieve best functional outcome.
Joy is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is registered with the Heath Professional Council.
