


Helen graduated from Manchester University with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy in 1993. She completed her junior rotations at Stepping Hill Hospital, where she began to develop a special interest in Neurology.
In 1995 Helen started working as a Senior Physiotherapist at Manchester Royal Infirmary and Barnes Hospital, which gave her a wide variety of experience in treating neurological patients on the Rehabilitation wards, as well as on an Acute Stroke Unit and delivering an out-patient service.
Since then she has continued to gain wide experience working with Neurological patients across the acute services, with rehabilitation in the hospital setting.
She was responsible for setting up a new Young Disabled Unit at Clifton Hospital near Blackpool in 1998. In 1999 she was appointed as a Senior Physiotherapist, and later a Physiotherapy Team Lead, at Chorley Hospital where she worked on the inpatient rehabilitation wards. She now offers a Neurological Out-patient service at this Hospital, with a particular interest in patients with Multiple Sclerosis.
Her clinical experience spans in-patient and out-patient rehabilitation of acute and chronic neurological conditions including stroke, acquired brain injury, MS and Parkinsons Disease.
Helen is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP), Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN) and is registered with the Health Professional Council.
She joined Neurocare in 2011.
