


Emma graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.
She then worked at Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral, where she completed her junior rotations and began to specialise in neurological rehabilitation as a senior physiotherapist working on the stroke rehabilitation unit and on the regional ‘Wirral Neurological Rehabilitation Unit’.
She then left and started as a locum specialising in neurological rehab and worked within multi-disciplinary community neuro rehab teams in Oldham and Salford, expanding her experience working mainly within individual’s homes.
In 2006 she started work at the Royal Preston Hospital as a senior therapist and gained further experience of varied neurological conditions including stroke, head injuries, neuropathies, Guillain-Barre, multiple sclerosis and spinal injuries. She has also worked on the Neuro Rehab unit at Sharoe Green.
She is currently the Specialist Physiotherapist on the Rehabilitation wards at the Medical Rehabilitation Unit at Preston. Here she is co-ordinating a team of physios and working closely with the multidisciplinary team in the hospital and the community to maximise rehabilitation and aim to provide a smooth discharge process.
She is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and is Registered with the Health Professionals Council.
